This is a blast from the past! An ice cream shop from my youth complete with dipped cones, sprinkles optional. I recommended my wife get one as she never had the pleasure before or the training. She was a mess by the time it was done. It takes experience to eat a dipped come without making a mess. I had the hot fudge sundae and it was great. The only thing that kept this from getting a 5 star rating was the attitude of the workers, but the quality of the ice cream was 5 star.

That banana split was on point! Absolutely delicious. A great stop when in Cherry Grove.

The Dairy Hut in Little River is a true gem! Their ice cream is rich, creamy, and always delicious—and the prices are very affordable. No need to travel out of town when you have this great spot right here. It’s just half a block from the beach, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and polite. I highly recommend stopping by the Dairy Hut!

Took a walk just for a great hotdog. They are delicious and they have ice cream and sundaes too. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's a great location and you can sit outside too. It's a must anytime I'm in Cherry Grove. Stop in and try it out, you will not be disappointed!!⛱️💯

We love this fun little ice cream shop right across the street from the beach. Nicely priced cubes, milkshakes, cotton candy, sundaes and snacks like hot dogs and stuff. They use fresh bananas in the milkshakes. Eat inside or outside at this clean place. We've been going for 15 years and we are never disappointed.

This place has amazing ice cream! They only have 3 flavors (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry). We came here every night as it was right down the street from our house. The chocolate dipped banana is also wonderful! 🩷

We have been visiting the barnacle every beach trip for years. My late younger brother loved this store, and my daughter has the same fascination with it. It is a must see for us.

Great place to go especially if you are hunting for a captain hat. I was on Spring break with friends and went in the store and I felt like I was at home. That’s how amazing it is. Anyway I found a fire captain hat and got it. The store is amazing and once again I recommend the captain hat. Captain signing off now.

Favorite shop in Cherry Grove. They have such wonderful decor. Love the crab traps! We have one in our tiki bar and turned another into a coffee table!

We’ve been coming to CG for 15 years and always stop by the Barnacle to browse and see what’s new. We purchase beach equipment if needed as well as anything else we need. Everyone is always friendly and the store is always clean. It may be like most of the surf shops, but it has more of the family friendly feel.

Excellent beach store containing the needed beach items at reasonable prices. Also there are many decorative items and cute things to purchase as gifts.

Great in and out store with everything you need, from gas, drinks, food, ice cream, pizza and other cooked food.

This is a wonderful family business. They are always open and friendly. I have had 2 different experiences where I arrived there in need of help (nothing to do with their business) Both times they have gone WAY above and beyond what most retailers would do. They are an asset to our community and I would highly recommend going there as often as possible. They are a local gem and we should support them!

Love this locally owned convenience store for everything you need on the go. They've got some amazing hot food items made fresh throughout the day (I love their breakfast but also highly recommend their fried chicken!). They also have 99¢ soft serve ice cream cones, which are a nice treat on a hot day!

I was recently in the Express and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff were Ziggy was nice and Lexi was lovely she took my food order and answered questions with a smile on her face. I'll be coming back to this store the food was good and the store was clean

This is the best place to get fresh seafood! The service is quick and the staff is friendly. It offers a wide variety of seafood options. Although I've bought many types of seafood, I often get shrimp or oysters. Regardless of what kind of seafood I purchased, I've always been pleased. I highly recommend Platt's!

We visited Platt’a Seafood while visiting Myrtle Beach from PA! We called in our order as we were told the boil would take approx 2 hours. Everyone we talked to was helpful and so friendly! Order was ready and smelled amazing when we arrived! Portion of the half plan was perfect (and plenty!) for 6 people! Not to mention it was delicious and season perfectly!

Stopped by to grab a plate to go and MAN was I impressed. Grabbed a couple of crab clusters off the ice, they were steamed and seasoned perfectly on site! There were small cups of butter and fresh lemons for sale too.

If you do anything while you’re in town, it better be stopping in here and getting a ready made plate to go eat on the beach.

Hands down, the best seafood we've ever had. Everything was fresh and they offered to steam it to perfection for us. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we had the best dinner of our entire vacation. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

I dropped into this place because I was shopping next-door. It is a fresh seafood market as well as a restaurant for takeout where they will fry your fish picked from their case fresh. It is so good and the price is so reasonable. I got a low country boil, and all this food came with it. I ate for three meals. It is amazing. You must try. It is seasoned, but not overly seasoned just the right amount of aaahhhhh.

Absolutely need to go here if staying in the area. They sell fish by the pound and can deep fry or grill it for carry out. We tried some trigger fish and whiting grilled and they did an excellent job preparing it. Also sell basic fishing gear and bait for you to DIY.

Bought a new grill from them. When I got it home I noticed a bent door and the owners manual didn't match the grill. Went back a week or so later and spoke to Tom. He asked witch grill. He bent down took the door off the grill handed it to me gave me the manual off said we good. We were fantastic customer service!!!! The big box stores wouldn't do that !

This is absolutely the greatest ace hardware anywhere. The staff are always helpful, and never too busy to have a few minutes of friendly conversation .The selection is incredible, and items tend to be the better quality selections rather than cheap merchandise that fails quickly. It's basically a hardware store combined with a tackle shop, coastal clothing and shoe store, and outdoor decor and furniture store...with a few other things thrown in as well. The store itself is always clean and well maintained. And, you get that Ace guarantee on many ( but not all !) Ace Hardware branded items, which allows you to return an item that breaks or stops working, regardless of age, and receive a free replacement. This and the quality of service are what sets Ace Hardware apart from the big box stores. That's why many Ace items that are a few cents or dollars more ultimately end up being a much less expensive alternative. I've been shopping here for many years, and I've never had a bad experience. I can't say that about many businesses.

I love a small hardware store where I can get exceptional customer service and this store provides that! There is a variety of products and such a hometown atmosphere. The store is clean and well stocked. Besides the normal hardware items that you would expect, they also have clothing, grills, beach supplies, bikes, and outdoor decor items. Such a great place. Shop local, shop small business!

The store is 23 minutes away from my house after going to 2 Lowe's and 3 Home Depot I was on able to find 1 inch PVC pipe .. guess what the little guy had them !! Same price too This was well stocked nicely cleaned and you didn't have to walk 3 miles to find anything .. customer service was amazing definitely my new go to place
