We bring in the freshest catches from North and South Carolina, shrimp, fish, oysters, clams, and crabs—straight from local boats, available by the bucket or bushel depending on the day’s haul or season. We do our best to get local seafood whenever it’s available. We offer live lobsters every day and often have live local blue crabs in season. And if you want to stay in beach‑day mode, we’ll steam, fry, or grill anything for a small added charge, just relax and let us handle the heat.

Absolutely need to go here if staying in the area. They sell fish by the pound and can deep fry or grill it for carry out. We tried some trigger fish and whiting grilled and they did an excellent job preparing it. Also sell basic fishing gear and bait for you to DIY.
Hands down, the best seafood we've ever had. Everything was fresh and they offered to steam it to perfection for us. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we had the best dinner of our entire vacation. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Stopped by to grab a plate to go and MAN was I impressed. Grabbed a couple of crab clusters off the ice, they were steamed and seasoned perfectly on site! There were small cups of butter and fresh lemons for sale too.
If you do anything while you’re in town, it better be stopping in here and getting a ready made plate to go eat on the beach.
We visited Platt’a Seafood while visiting Myrtle Beach from PA! We called in our order as we were told the boil would take approx 2 hours. Everyone we talked to was helpful and so friendly! Order was ready and smelled amazing when we arrived! Portion of the half plan was perfect (and plenty!) for 6 people! Not to mention it was delicious and season perfectly!
Very good food and polite, friendly people. It takes a little while to get your food after you order, but that's because they're preparing it fresh. Worth the wait.

This is the best place to get fresh seafood! The service is quick and the staff is friendly. It offers a wide variety of seafood options. Although I've bought many types of seafood, I often get shrimp or oysters. Regardless of what kind of seafood I purchased, I've always been pleased. I highly recommend Platt's!
